August 30, 2011 | Fisherman 4Put on your fake mustaches (Talkingship patent pending) and put on your cowboy hat, because you’ll be emulating Burt Reynolds in Need for Speed: The Run. Or will you? Will this game live up to the classic movie?
Preview – Madden ’12
August 28, 2011 | Jitterbug 3EA has been publishing their Madden series since 1988, and while the most recent iterations of the title are light years better then the original, the innovation has been slight ever since 2004 when EA secured the exclusive right to release NFL video games. When the competition disappeared, EA sat back on it’s laurels and started churning out editions of Madden that were nearly indistinguishable to the previous year. That’s all about to change with Madden ’12.

Bastion Review – Build It Strong
July 19, 2011 | Fisherman 2Bastion is a game that Talkingship has been following closely since it first caught our attention at PAX 2010. It was part of the PAX 10, one of ten independently developed games that were showcased. At that time, we named it our Game of PAX 2010. Well, the game and the team at Supergiant have come a long way since then. Bastion was published by Warner Bros. and is the first game in Xbox Live’s Summer of Arcade for 2011. However, the question remains: Does the game live up to the hype?

Devil : Worst Movie Ever
June 18, 2011 | Jitterbug 6In this new series of articles I will make a case for why a particular film is the worst one that has ever been made. As I am sure you are aware, this is just a fun exercise as the worst film ever made is clearly Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace. Never-the-less, It’s fun to try and make the case that any other movie could come close to that level of shame. Today’s subject is the 2010 movie, Devil, written by everyone’s favorite twist expert, M Night Shyamalan.
I’m only five minutes into this movie and I’ve realized it’s going to be really, really bad. I’ve pulled out my laptop and will start walking you though it as I watch it. This should be fun.
Review : Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale
May 28, 2011 | Jitterbug 1
I’m a huge dork. To prove this, I’d be happy to show you my multiple copies of 1st edition Dungeons and Dragons books. Yes, I said multiple copies. Why would I buy more then one Dungeon Master’s Guide, or Player’s Handbook, or Unearthed Arcana? Because my originals were tattered and eBay delighted me with some cheap opportunities to get some new ones. For this reason, I am sure you can imagine how excited I was when I turned on my Xbox and discovered there was a new Dungeons and Dragons game released to celebrate the 4th edition version of the table top game.
