Welcome To Talkingship OctoberFest!
October 1, 2010 | JitterbugOctober is upon us and Talkingship aims to celebrate it with style. During the month of October, we’re going to be rolling out themed content for the site. Most articles will be themed to fit a scary, creepy, and overall Halloween-y theme. I suppose you’re wondering what that edited TS logo is about. If the article you’re reading has the Talkingship Pumpkin at the beginning, expect the theme.

Review : Halo Reach
September 20, 2010 | David 3Understand, I just wrote a two page article listing all of my problems with Halo: Reach, but my inability to click the “save” icon on the top of the page cost me everything. I’m now angry, a little drunk (as I was drinking while I wrote it) and am having to redo it. Now, I didn’t like the game, so the anger wont hurt the rewrite. I also found the game to be so dull that I drank through the second half so (come to think of it) the drinking part shouldn’t really hurt the review either. Okay, I’m gonna try and list why I didn’t like the game in a few, easy to read paragraphs.
Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye
September 20, 2010 | Jitterbug 2I remember my life a long time ago when I was a young pup. That is assuming “a long time ago” means “8 years ago”, but who’s really keeping track here? I’m not. The point is, I was a kid and I used to love my toys. My favorites were always Transformers. Read More
Redhook Sausagefest – Beer Reviews
September 19, 2010 | Fisherman 3Yeah, I went to a giant Sausagefest. There was sausage as far as the eye could see. And it was awesome. It was the Redhook Brewery Sausagefest, a celebration of music, sports, beer, and meat.
Like all great breweries, Redhook serves good food and doesn't take itself too seriously.

GameLounge at PAX – Game of the Show
September 6, 2010 | Fisherman 1The show floor at PAX this year was jam-packed with Triple-A titles. From Epic Mickey to Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood; InFamous 2 to Fallout: New Vegas; Portal 2 to Dragon Age 2; and a little gem called Dead Space 2. Which one of these badass 2010/2011 releases was the GameLounge’s official Game of the Show? None of them. To find our game of the show, you had to wander over to the PAX 10 booth, which housed 10 distinct games from independent development studios. This year the booth housed games like Shibuya, a puzzler for the iPhone and iPad and Super Meat Boy, a platformer banking on its quirky charm to bring in its audience, one game stood heads and shoulder above everything else in the booth. That game was Bastion. Read More
