Not long ago, 2K Games announced the fourth DLC for their smash hit, Borderlands, called Claptrap’s Revolution. The new DLC will offer players a new story, new weapons, and a lot of new enemies, but one of the things noticeably missing from the release was another level cap increase. Fret not, Borderlanders, 2K is coming through with the coolest of solutions.
At PAX this past weekend, Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, released a bombshell. On October 12th, a FREE DLC will be released for Borderlands that will raise the level cap by 8 (making the level cap 69) and rebalance the original game to accommodate high level players. By releasing this DLC as free and balancing the original game, the developers have ensured that everyone can enjoy this excellent title longer, even if they haven’t ponied up for the DLCs.
Congratulations, Borderlands, you’ve just cemented your position as one of the best games I’ve ever played!
