Quantum Leap THE MOVIE
August 8, 2010 | Jitterbug 3
A nice surprise was hidden in the layer after layer of dork-cake that was served up at the 2010 Comic Con in San Diego this year. There was a Quantum Leap retrospective starring none other than my original man-crush, Scott Bakula. When the subject of a Quantum Leap movie was broached, Bakula let the news slip that it is beyond possible. In fact, the creator of Quantum Leap, Donald P. Bellisario, is already well into a script for the movie version of his hit series!
There is some bad news though. While Scott Bakula said that Bellisario was writing parts in the new film for both Bakula and Dean Stockwell, they would not be the stars of the movie. They are simply too old now. Really? You dragged Harrison Ford’s musty ass off of Flockhart to star in an unwanted Indy film. Why can’t Bakula and Stockwell come back to Leap? Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.
