Whilst we’re still waiting for the official announcement of the iPhone 5, conclusive evidence has just surface proving that the phone will indeed be unveiled today, and that it will be called the iPhone 5. On Apple’s official website, searching for iPhone-5 brings up some very interesting search results. Notably, a link to http://apple.com/iphone/iphone-5/tips and a link to a press release: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2012/09/12Apple-Introduces-iPhone-5.html . Note that the press release is dated 12th of September. As in today. Neither link works as of yet, but I’m sure they’ll be enabled in just a few hours.
These search results well and truly confirm the existence of the iPhone 5. For now though, we just have to wait and see exactly what features are announced with the iPhone 5. You can follow along with all the latest news from the iPhone 5 event over at our live blog. The event starts at 10AM Pacific/1PM Eastern/6PM London/3AM Sydney.
