A Wedding Toast to Dave and Jamie!

Wedding bells are ringing on the ship!  On Saturday, September 10th, 2011, one of our very own is going to make the biggest decision of his life!  Fisherman (also known in some circles as Dave) is going to seal the deal with the one woman out there that will put up with him.  By some miracle that will certainly be chronicled by prophets for centuries to come, Fisherman has managed to convince a beautiful, smart, funny, and kind woman named Buggiewoman (also known as Jamie) that she should marry him.  Jamie has proven to be a great friend of our grimy ship, even putting up with a horrifying docking (that sounds gross) recently by Farva, Nerves, and Muttonchop as they descended upon her home for PAX.  Jaime didn’t bat an eye, and welcomed them with open arms, even managing to LAUGH at some of Farva’s jokes!  Even I don’t do that!!

On behalf of everyone on the ship, I wish you all the best.  I am honored to call you friends, and I look forward to seeing you both grow together as a couple.

Please raise your glass and join me in the comments below to give these two some kind words – Jamie’s going to need your kindness as the crushing weight of this decision is probably going to hit her sometime on Sunday!  By marrying Fisherman, she is going to be forced to live on our dirty Ship, and no matter how much she thinks she’s prepared for that… She has NO idea what she’s in for!

    I’m so happy for you two… I don’t think “you deserve each other” work here because we obviously know Jaime is taking a bullet for all of womankind… KIDDING! I love you both although I barely know you (and I mean it 😉 ), and I wish you lots of love and drinks and love. Mostly drinks, because that’s what this site is all about. Hope your wedding is absolutely awesome (although I won’t be there, which would have guaranteed said awesomeness) and your marriage be blissful.

    Congrats to the happy, beautiful couple. I wish I had some hilarious, embarrassing story to share, like, say, if Fish had practiced his kissing technique with Farva while Nerves shouted encouragement from the corner, but I got nothing. Hopefully you all will accept my sincere well wishes. Very happy for you two, Jamie and Fish.
