It has been confirmed.  Brian Singer will direct the new X-Men : First Class movie! 

I am extremely happy about this.  The two X-Men movies that Singer directed (part 1 and 2) are my favorite super hero movies of all time – yes, I like them even better than Dark Knight – BLASPHEMER!  I know that Singer has had some serious flops in his career (Superman Returns??? How did you fuck that up so bad?) but I trust him with this franchise.  After the 3rd X-Men movie and then Wolverine, I had resigned myself to believing that the X-Men movie franchise was going to be mired in thoughtless summer-blockbuster action territory, but with Singer coming back on board (and here’s hoping he brings his writing pals from 1 & 2 back) I am beginning to have faith again! 

Please, Mr. Singer, don’t ass fuck my childhood!  Treat it gentle.  Use the lube.
