Default Doctor Who

Doctor Who is one of the finest TV shows that we make here in the British Isles and having just watched the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith's debut in the 1st episode of a new series, I wondered a) if there were any fans of the Doc in the TSC and b) if any of those individuals happened to be from the UK and had any opinions on the latest episode?

Also, what are people's favourite episode?... and if it's Blink pick a 2nd favourite too, cos that's far too often the answer.

Having said that Blink is my favourite episode followed by probably Turn Left or maybe Midnight

I think that the Doctor is great. I'm accross the pond, so I didn't get to see the new doc's debut. Come to think of it, my wife and I are still waiting to find the time to watch the second part of the last David Tennant (sp?) episode. We just got it finally a week or two ago and have been crazy busy.

I'll have to see if I can find the new one out there somewhere. It can take quite a long time before it makes it to the airwaves over here.

As far as a fave .... ummmm ... I just woke up and I couldn't even begin to think of one right now.

after clicking on your links, I find it odd that you chose 2 "doctor-lite" episodes as your favorites. Those are some damn good episodes, though.

I used to watch Dr. Who when I was 7. Haven't watched it since, but I sure did love it then.

I've never seen it, but I've always been interested. It's on Netflix, so I'll watch it over the Summer.

Yeah, I find that kinda weird myself. All 3 of my favourites could be said to be completely uncharacteristic of Doctor Who as a series, which would kinda suggest that maybe I should be watching a different program. Those episodes are just really deep and well written and acted but I still love the rest of the series too.

Fair enough .. to be honest, one of the most memorable ones to me was "Love and Monsters" ... maybe not one of the best ones, but memorable.

Yeah, that one had a great cast including one of my favourite stand up comedians Peter Kay, not to mention a nice bit of ELO
