Shaha, the first 10 are very powerful, but they are the reason I go back to watch Up again and again, because Pixar is so proficient at telling a moving story without dialogue (see: Wall-E). The rest of the movie is great too, but the first 10 minutes of UP are masterful.

Well... the only BluRay I own is Star Trek, but it's awesome enough to still be considered my best. XD

Star Trek was pretty boner-rific on blu-ray. The only drawback with it was is that it had a TON of lens flaring.

oh but it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pretty. Especially on my 52' HD screen with my 5.1 Surround Sound. My basement's pretty beastly, so movies are pure excellence on my setup.

Dawn of the Dead 2004, I had to import it from the States as it's still not out in the UK. Love it. Cherish it. Touch it.

Well, I only own two blu-ray movies: Planet Earth and James Bond: Quantum of Solace. Planet Earth is really beautiful, so I guess that would be my favorite blu-ray so far.

Recently picked up Sin City extended cut, looked obviously amazing.

Also, this may come as a surprise, but No Country for Old Men looks and plays a-mazing on blueray.

Whole lot of nice shots of the Texas country side, and since the dialog is so precious and sparse, the howling of the wind as Llewellyn found the dead mexican with the money is chilling...

Without trying to turn this into the UP appreciation thread I gotta say the 1st 10 mins are horrifically sad but they are the most incredible part of a fantastic film, beautifully crafted.

As for my best BluRay, I can't say I'm particularly good at knowing what makes a good BluRay but my favourites are probably The Wrestler and Hurt Locker but neither are graphical powerhouses. My prettiest BluRay is probably Casino Royale, which is unfortunate cos I fuckin hate that film... I got it for free by being 1 of the 1st several thousand people to sign up for PSN at the European PS3 launch.

I bought The Dark Knight (2-disc edition) yesterday so I could well have a new best BluRay but I haven't watched it yet... although I have seen it before.

I must say, despite the fact that it is just an OK movie at best, Avatar is my new best BluRay. It shows off what your system can do rather nicely.
