Would you like to see more Firefly?

Now I haven't heard anything regarding this show's future or lack of but, I personally would not like any more episodes. Why? It's perfect the way it is (just like Faulty Towers). I've only watched the shows and movie once and plan on watching them again soon and maybe I'll find that other aspects of the show could be explored. If, and this is a big if, if a second season is greenlit I will be excited and pray they use the same actors, writers and don't fuck it up otherwise I will have to pretend it never happened (like the Star Wars prequels).
I only came to write this cause of the Big Bang Theory show mentioning Firefly in an episode I just watched and needed to put this out there.
Again I've not heard any news about the show so this question is completely hypothetical.

I hear about this show all the time on the internets and tried to watch it once on Netflix but couldn't even make it though the first episode. It was boring from what I saw and haven;t been back.

I'm guessing you find 'The Empire Strikes Back' boring then.

Fuck no. Are you kidding me.

lol, too easy...

It's a shame that Firefly, that had an awesome cast and awesome story, got next to no budget and got cancelled when I see shows like Terra Nova which have horrid acting have the absurd budget it has...

Cobberwebb 11-21-2011 12:39 PM

Yeah, I've been watching that and nothing is happening! Firefly's fx are a lot better also. Slowly watching it again and it's so good. The acting, the humour, the characters, everything.

I would have liked more Firefly immediately after Serenity, but now I think too much time has gone by. The show really is perfect as it is and more episodes or another movie would risk ruining that.

Cam-Dog, the first episode is a slow one, but you really should finish it and watch the rest of the series.

Jitterbug 12-08-2011 08:44 AM

The first half of the first episode was 'meh'. Definitely watch the whole episode and then move into the series. It is pure brilliance.

It's a great show. A couple of the episodes are slow but it's still a really good series. It would have been nice to see a second season.

I love the show, and I am glad I can at least go back to the universe in the form of comic books. I do hope that eventually we will get some new form of the show

MarksmanShrimp 01-05-2012 03:40 PM

I consider myself a Browncoat through and through, and would love if there was some more substance to the universe in the future, aside from the comics. Until then, I'll don my Blue Sun t-shirt and kick back with the blu-rays

I'm re-watching the series again and by the end of it I will be upset that there isn't another season.

Gingerboy507 01-29-2012 06:22 PM

After years of hearing people talk about this show I finally started watching it a couple weeks ago and I was also not impressed after the 1st episode but a few days went by and I decided to go ahead and give it another try and by the middle of the 3rd episode was hooked. I just finished watching the show and the movie Serenity today and thought they were fantastic and I would have to agree as much as I love the world and the characters I wouldn't want another season. I would on the other hand love at least one more movie just to explain the Shepard's history, thats the only thing that I can think of that wasn't explained in the movie but I doubt that his story will never be explained since they killed him off.

I think there's a comic that explains Book's backstory. I'm not for sure though as I've never read any of the comics.

There certainly is, it's called The Shepherd's Tale, don't really like the idea of it being canon though, as I'd come up with a better history in my head long before it came to light, kinda like Jitterbug and the Star Wars prequels i guess.

Gingerboy507 02-04-2012 10:06 PM

Thanks guys never been a comic book guy but I am definately gonna pick them up

Cobberwebb 02-05-2012 07:40 AM

Just purchased all the comic books, didn't know they existed. Look forward to them.
