What Is Your Best BluRay?
Out of all the BluRays you've bought, which one stands out as the best? For example, if a friend told you that they were going to buy a BluRay player and a surround sound system and wanted suggestions for a few movies to buy with it, what would you suggest?
Mine are: Blade Runner The Final Cut Any of the Pirates of the Caribbean (not because they are great movies, but because they really do look and sound awesome on my BD player) Batman : The Dark Knight |
Seriously? I have to choose a favorite? This is going to be harder than Nerves at a Jonas bros. concert.
Well, one of my first and still favorites is Appleseed Exmachina. It's a CG anime but it still has some outlines around the characters. So it really shows off the high resolution with the sharp details. But also Dark knight is great and anything PIXAR. Oh and the Watchmen. Ooh and... you see this is difficult. |

Did you like the little you saw? The city-scapes are especially breathtaking on BD. You can see every little building even in the far shots. Makes you wonder how they designed the city without jumping in front of a moving train.

Nerves......hard......Jonas Brothers......hahaha
Two Blu-rays that are always on my player are Rock n' Rolla and Wyatt Earp. Neither are very special effects heavy, but the clarity and sound quality drag me in every time. When I want to show off the special effects I choose The Hulk (Edward Norton, not Eric Bana). The way the hulk and the abomination look on screen still blow me away. |
My favorite is Batman : The Dark Knight

I have a few to list. For sound I have to go with Blackhawk Down or Transformers 2. As far as picture goes it's probably Dark Knight.

All around I'd say my first is still my best. Casino Royale, the newish James Bond movie.

Blade Runner: Final Cut is really great for showing off what Blu-ray can do for an older movie.
For looks though 300 is pretty sweet I love its art style. Of course Watchmen and The Dark Knight are up on the top too. |
