So I have learned that we have a couple of guitar players on the ship and what is better than sitting out on the ocean and jammin' together?
I've created this thread so that we guitar players can talk, it doesn't matter if your good or bad, if you need some tips or if you want to recommend some great new equipment you just got.

Guitarists of Talkingship unite!

Cool idea!

So this weekend I'm resurrecting Peggy Sue! I guess I should explain.... You see, Peggy, she's my cherry les paul special, and Sue is a talk box I built a few years ago. I need find a new horn driver, as I've somehow miss placed the other. Well, and the other horn driver was shit. I digest. I'll post pics later on.

Cool man! I'm actually trying to build a talkbox at the moment. It looks like shit, but hopefully it will work. ;)

The Comish is an amazing guitar player. He is also really good at sound engineering as well. We'll have to get him in here to help out.

It doesn't matter what it looks like, just as long as it works like boss.

Well, I found all of the pieces to my old talk box (aka sue). Now I just need to rewire and stick it in a permanent home!:cool1:

I play guitar, but I don't really have anything to say about it at this point. XD

thanx for the compliment ... I would say that I'm decent as far as guitar playing goes. I play lead competently, but I'm no virtuoso. I've put a lot of effort into many different aspects of making music (and being in a band in general) and on some level that has affected my playing.

I really like the stuff your doing with Pousto, you really got the ska/reagge/punkish sound down! If I wasn't totally broke (like TOTALLY) I would try to get your album, maybe when I get some money ;) Would you be able to ship it here to Norway? Anyway, really great stuff man!

Here's their website. Not sure if they are still shipping out CDs or not.

Thanks ... it's nice to get unsolicited compliments :)

hmmm ... I'd gladly send you CD or two if you'd be willing to pay for shipping. I've never shipped a cd overseas, so I haven't a clue how much it'd cost. I'd also be willing to do an FTP if your fine with digital copies and have a site to host it at. I'm sure we can work something out. Maybe someone here would be willing to temporarily host something.

We really aren't all that interested in selling our music at this point. We'd much rather just get it in the hands of people that are interested in hearing it. Besides that, we've been recording a lot of covers lately (for the fun of it), and we won't ever be able to officially release or sell those.

Godin Detour
This is my newest and current #1. Best budget guitar on the market today.
http://www.modernguitars.com/imagefiles/godin/detourblack.gif

Fender Stratocaster (MIM)
This was my first guitar and I made it was my main guitar for years. Seymour Duncan lil '59 in the neck position, no middle, and the stock bridge as far as the pickups go.

Westone Dynasty
This guitar was given to me in pieces with no electronics (just the body and the replacement neck that didn't quite fit). On some level it's still a work in progress but I really do love it.
The "FIREBIRD" logo came off a car that I bought off of one of Choopy's x-girlfriends.

I always like to have the physical CD, but digital downloads would be awesome as well. I don't know how much the shipping would be, probably quite a bit, but since I just got payed I guess I can afford it ;) I like when bands don't really care that much about money, but I like to support them anyway, even if it doesn't make a difference. It just seems fair, if you make a good product you should be payed for it.

Pegs with her boy toys.

She's a Gibson Les Paul Special. The amp head is a Blackheart Handsome Devil. The Speaker is a Blackheart Little Giant Cab with a 12" Eminence speaker.

I have to change my pants after every time I play.

The Handom Devil is pretty sweet. It packs an awesome punch. If you want to hear some demos on it, I think the guitarproshop.com site has some videos of it. Actually, the guy demos the combo, but it's sound is similar to my set up. You know what...if I can find my good mic, I'll try to record some sounds for you. Tonight I'm going to compare it with a friends Orange Dual Terror(I think that's what it's called). I'll let you know if my $300 amp can hold it's own with his $600-800 amp( I don't remember right off what he said he paid for it).

In general I like most tube amps. The tube amp sound always gives me the flutters inside.

Awesome dude, I've heard a couple of demos of it, but it would be awesome if you could record some stuff! ;)

Does learning how to play guitar difficult? I really love to play guitar but every time i started to learn the chords, my fingertips began to swell and that's the thing i can hardly overcome.
