For the English class I'm currently taking, our final assignment is to pick a song and analyze and interpret the lyrics, at the same time looking for imagery, metaphors, and other poetic nonsense.

So it got me wondering, what song would you pick?

And yes, I'm totally pumping you for ideas, I still have no idea what I want to do.

I had the same kind of assignment not too long ago, we had to analyze the music video as well... I picked American Jesus by Bad Religion, it was a really easy one and got a pretty good grade ;) Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Immigrant Song about vikings? I don't really remember...

I guess I owe you a real one.

The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove. Dead Can Dance

That has metaphors, imagery, and poetic nonsense. Plus it's a really cool song by an even cooler band.
